THE K PHENOMENON 🇰🇷

K-drama, K-pop, e-sport, web toons, shows & movies, … the surge of K-culture sweeps away all cultural industries. The “Hallyu” (translated by Korean wave) is definitely here, boosted by the Korean government which activated the promising “Digital New Deal” plan: 900,000 jobs created, and 43.2 billion euros invested in new technologies through partnerships with local high tech companies.

Dear, rest of the world … Watch out and get ready to ride on the K-trends!

⭐ DIGITAL

Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are already old-fashioned, so welcome to WEVERSE COMPANY, the official fan community platform where fans and artists interact, and Zepeto, the fashion and luxury dedicated-platform made in Korea.

⭐ CULTURE & SOCIAL MEDIA & TV

The usual proof that something or somebody is a huge trend: social media. The biggest champion in the category might be the K-pop music band BTS (a.k.a. Bangtan Boys) who gather about 40 million followers on Twitter, 53 million followers on Instagram, 20 million followers on Facebook, and 60 million on YouTube.

⭐ FASHION & BEAUTY

The fashion industry is hiring more and more Korean muses:
Earlier in 2021, Louis Vuitton announced the choice of the South Korean group BTS as its new brand ambassador.
Rosé, the singer from the Korean music band Blackpink, has been shot for the new Saint Laurent campaign.

K-beauty was big last year, so in 2022, K-beauty will be huge! If you missed our K-Beauty-dedicated #IGLive with the talented Laura Koeppler from On The Shelf Agency, catch up and find the codes to success 📍 https://cutt.ly/TPuGDi2
