Following months and months of speculation, the #metaverse world is definitely entering the world of fashion, announcing a virtual Fashion Week—during which dozens of global brands and thousands of visitors will be able to virtually experience fashion shows, attend live music sessions at branded after-parties, and, of course, buy avatar clothes! A number of investors have already bought plots of land in anticipation of building shopping-centric areas.
It’s a stroke of luck that works so well … or not!
At the same time, Bernard Arnault, CEO of the huge luxury group LVMH, sparked a controversy saying that there is not “hurry to charge into the metaverse,” as his brands are doing just fine in the real world.
Fun fact: This interview released just a few days before his son (and Tiffany & Co.’s CEO) Alexandre Arnault joined the #NFT Cryptopunks community, adding a NFT profile picture on social media.
Remaining question: Will the LVMH brands attend to the virtual fashion week in March?
Rendezvous on March 24, on the Decentraland platform 🪐 🪐 🪐
