FASHION WEEK 3.0: THE NEW FASHION TREND πŸ‘—πŸŒ

If you were used to the usual #FashionWeek in Paris, Milan, New York, London, and others… Did you know that a special Fashion Week took place for the first time last year?

The virtual universe Decentraland, a free virtual reality platform, hosted the first “#Metaverse Fashion Week,” or #MVFW, a world premiere that testified to the growing power of the virtual world. Although the metaverse is still misunderstood by some, brands are taking this new potential market to heart.

70 brands took part in the #MVFW22 calendar. From Dolce & Gabbana to Paco Rabanne, Tommy Hilfiger to Roberto Cavalli. All of them had more or less already stepped into this immersive universe.

Dolce & Gabbana opened the show with a digital fashion show comprising 20 male and female silhouettes using the house’s codes (zebra and leopard motifs, D&G logo, etc.).

This development shows that there is a fine line between the fashion world and the metaverse, and we feel that this is just the beginning of this virtual world’s creative and commercial potential.

It’s enough to make you wonder about the future of #fashion! What do you think about virtual fashion?
