At the occasion of the #WorldMentalHealthDay, earlier this week, The Social Wire would like to highlight some brands’ inspiring initiatives.
Mental health issues are becoming audible embracing the new beauty movement that claims well being as a new form of beauty.
What if real beauty comes from the inside?
What can be the beauty if it isn’t an emotion, a feeling, a way of self confidence?
Since May, Rare Beauty, Loum Beauty, philosophy And Benefit Cosmetics are partnering with around 100 influencers to spread the word about the importance of mental health, and drive donations to NAMI, Philosophy Hope & Grace Initiative and Rare Impact Fund, headed by Selena Gomez, ex-Disney star who struggled with bipolar diagnosis.
Through his non-gendered clothing brand “HEAVEN”, Marc Jacobs released on October 10 a new tee range themed on Virgin Suicide Sofia Coppola’s movie.
In honor of the Mental Health month in May, Urban Sophistication & Maybelline Cosmetics designed a custom iPhone case and makeup bundle to remind customers that social media is not real life and does not define beauty standards. 100% of the proceeds of the case are donated to The Jed Foundation as well.
People don’t buy products, they want to join movements – especially the #GenZ
